I recently came across a company called The Sill. This company sells houseplants and houseplant accessories.
I love plants and thought I could use some green in my home so I placed an order and waited for my plants to arrive! Both plants were under $10 and shipping was reasonable enough considering they had to ship live plants. They took less than a week to get to me and came very neatly packaged. My two plants came in little plastic pots and the dirt was protected so it wouldn’t spill during transit.
I had ordered two 4″ plants, a Philodendron and a Parlor Palm. I thought the palm was going to be tiny because the description said 4″ but it was a little bigger. I’ll put a picture below for reference. Of course, as soon as I took them out of the box, my cat ran right up to them and started chomping away. The Palm is pet friendly according to The Sill‘s website, but that doesn’t mean I want leaves with bite marks in them!
I re-potted these pretty easily and they seem happy after a good watering. Both plants came with their own care instructions so it should be pretty hard to kill these if I follow them. For now they will sit out in my sun room because I don’t trust my cats!
